The TravelGap Excursion is a single trip medical plan, covering trips up to 180 days in length. You must be enrolled in a primary medical plan to be eligible for coverage.
Thank you for providing your comment which we would like to clarify for you.

My travel dates changed due to inclement weather and I received an immediate credit because I was within the 10-day review period and the policy covered fewer days. I wasn't expecting this but the customer service representative told me about the credit I was due and exactly how to obtain it. Great service!

I had no difficulty selecting the coverage options I desired. I thought the price and coverage limits were reasonable. Fortunately, I did not have to make any claims. Having the insurance though, provided me with peace of mind.

Since we had no health issues on the trip, it met all of our needs - which were none outside of some trepidation about what we might need. I suggest that HTH Worldwide send a person periodically - once a year? - to each of the destinations for which coverage was requested in the prior year to have actual information on the level of difficulty of actually needing medical assistance and using the HTH services.

The coverage was just what I needed to fill the gap between my current health insurance, that had gaps in it when I traveled overseas and this coverage filled in the gaps at a reasonable price. Luckily I did not need to use the it. I would purchase again

The insurance plan covered our essential needs at a reasonable price. I looked at several travel plans and this one met my needs and was within my budget.

Our flights were delayed in Vietnam because of a typhoon in Hong Kong. I called HTH Customer Service and spoke to a young man whose attitude was kind of smarmy. When I asked him about trip interruption benefits he continually responded that they were "limited." It took him a while to actually tell me what the benefits were. He had no interest in going over the benefits I paid for and see what might be applicable to my situation. Typical insurance company baloney. There are many trip insurance companies and I would go somewhere else next time.

On behalf of HTH, I must convey my sincere apologies for the regrettable service experience you’ve described. At HTH, we strive to deliver sensitive and thoughtful written and verbal feedback to our members. Unfortunately, it appears we fell short of this standard during your recent call. We market our Travel Gap Excursion primarily as a stand-alone health and accident policy. Travel Gap Excursion does not include any coverage for trip cancellation or travel delay. Rather, the Travel Gap Excursion policy provides only a limited Trip Interruption benefit, offered through HTH’s affiliate, the Global Citizens Association. My name is Joe Realdine and I am one of the Team Leads in the Customer Service Department at HTH Worldwide. I would welcome you to respond with any questions or concerns.
