Offering the highest coverage limits of the three plans provided by John Hancock, the Gold plan offers the most included coverage as well as optional upgrades. This plan offers Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption, as well as many other coverages including Missed Connection and Itinerary Change. These coverages could come in handy if a covered common carrier delay causes you to miss your cruise departure or if your travel supplier changes your covered trip itinerary after your departure date.

Nothing went wrong, so really can't comment on how well the plan was or on John Hancock policies are. Seemed adequate when we bought it, thankfully, we didn't have t use it.

John Hancock claims department issued Evan's check on April 14, 2017, so he should shortly be receiving payment. Please keep in mind that John Hancock asks claimants to allow up to 30 days after they receive the paperwork for them to review and settle the claim.Apr 17,2017

We use Insure my trip for all of our travel plans, being able to select the best plan to meet our needs is terrific. In this case we wanted "Cancel for any reason" which John Hancock provides as an option in their plans.
While we have only had to call upon our trip insurance once in all of our travels, it is good to know it is there.

We have traveled internationally quite a bit and only recently have begun to buy travel insurance. We have never had any incidents in which we needed to file a claim until our last trip. We are pleased to report that John Hancock promptly and fairly reimbursed us for our claim. Note to everyone who will file a claim: Keep all receipts.

I was very happy with the cost for the coverage. I did not need to use the insurance on this trip, which is a good thing, so I cannot comment on how claims are handled. I was able to easily extend my coverage for one additional week with no extra fee.
