Fortunately we didn't have to file a claim, but having the insurance allowed us to relax and enjoy our Christmas vacation to the Caribbean. Also, it was so easy to review the policies and choose one. I never had a claim so I don't know how I feel about that , but I love how I can go on line and check and pick which insurance company to choose from. I always use InsureMyTrip. I have been on 33 cruises and I always beat cruise line insurances by 50%. Thank you.

We had to make a claim due to my husband experiencing a traumatic injury about 2 months before our anniversary trip. Due to his inability to travel during our trip time, we made a claim and received a full refund. We had to fill out the required paperwork, but there were no questions asked, and we received our claim quickly. Such a relief to be covered for something like this and for it to be fairly easy to make a claim while we were dealing with a traumatic injury.

Overall we thought we were covered for all situations that would impact our trip. Unfortunately, my husband was impacted by the government shutdown and was furloughed. When we contacted customer service we were told that we did not have the additional coverage needed for a job interruption.We did go on our trip and thoroughly enjoyed it. Unfortunately, we had to use a credit card since we had a delay in getting my husband's salary. If we had the appropriate coverage, we would have not gone on the trip.

I never cruise without travel insurance, and since I didn't use a travel agent this time, I did some research and chose this policy. It offers primary coverage at a GREAT price! I am convinced that travel insurance is a must, especially after having to watch ship security escort a lady and her luggage off the ship in Cozumel, so she could stay in Mexico with her husband, who had to be hospitalized. I can't imagine how it felt to be stuck in a foreign country while my ship sailed away! I sure hope they purchased great travel insurance like this! I plan to buy the TruTravel First Class plan again!
