Fortunately, we didn’t need to file a claim but it was a comfort to know that we had insurance in case we had a problem. It is well worth the cost of the policy to have peace of mind.
I have several friends who have lost significant amounts of money because they had to cancel trips due to Covid or other medical issues and they didn’t have insurance. Buying a policy through InsureMyTrip.com is very easy. You enter the parameters of your trip and are presented with many choices. In the past, I have contacted customer service on the phone and they have assisted me in choosing a plan. I have recommended this website to many people as a seamless way to purchase trip insurance.

Didn’t use it but was very happy to have it for our family trip to mexico in April 2022. Only regret is not buying it sooner as the costs were nearly double when I made the purchase 3 weeks before the trip, but that’s on me.

UPDATE: we were notified (after the start date of the original trip), that the coverage had been transferred to our new date. Still haven’t travelled.
Original Review: Due to Covid our trip was rescheduled we notified insurance a month before departure we called them three times to ensure they were tracking the change, I was told it was in underwriting, have never received any notice that the insurance dates have been changed, just got this request to review our trip that didn’t happen. Can’t even imagine what it would be like if you had to file a claim.

Nationwide was willing to move this policy from a cruise in January 2022 which we cancelled to a cruise in April 2022. I really appreciate this great customer focus.

This is really hard to do when you don’t have a claim. If I did have a claim, I would be able to evaluate the policy a little bit better based on what I needed covered.

The peace of mind was priceless. Setting this up and talking to the agent beforehand was extremely helpful. They are knowledgeable and helped me make a decision about what kind of trip coverage we needed to purchase. Would definitely use them again!
