Fortunately, I did not need to file a claim; however, having the piece of mind of knowing that I could recover much of my travel expense if something bad occurred with one of my or my wife's aging parents while we were in travel status was well worth the price of the policy.

I went on a cruise to Hawaii and it was so rough we were unable to stop in Maui where I had a hotel reserved. I called and was told this was not trip interruption and I should have gotten cruise insurance. I got this insurance because I was going places other than the cruise (like Maui). Anyway, I'm out $300.00 and the cost of the useless insurance.

Thank you for your review. Most travel insurance policies do not cover what occurred during your trip. There are some insurance providers that offer Cruise policies, these are policies that offer cruise specific benefits. Benefits can include Itinerary Change, Port of Call Change, Shipboard Service Disruption and others.
