I was not previously aware that you have to purchase insurance within 10-14 days after making first payment on trip to get coverage for pre-existing medical conditions, and you cannot get pre-existing medical conditions coverage after that.

Bought this plan since I was on a skiing trip to Colorado. Did not have to file a claim, but I wish I had this plan on a similar trip a few years ago when I did get hurt and had to pay out of pocket (my primary health insurance had $5000.00 deductible).
