Lost my exit document and called for assistance. Next day, I received the address of the embassy. Duh. I could find that without any help. Got help from my airline who told me right where to go. Can't say insurance was great or not great since I submitted no claims.

Fortunately, didn’t have the need to use the policy. However, the ease of purchase, last minute change and communication lend to confidence that had I needed to file a claim, it would have been “easy.”

Was a total waste of money. Was in Asia for a month and the cost to visit a state of the art hospital in Thailand was under $25.00 including the prescription for a UTI, one of my friends had to go so I know. My travel plan cost me $116.00 for 30 days. Best to find out what medical is like in the countries your visiting before springing for travel insurance.

Thank you for taking the time to post about your concerns on Insure My Trip. The Travelex Basic policy that you purchased has multiple benefits in addition to the medical coverage, such as Trip Interruption, Trip Delay, Baggage, and more. Which you were also eligible for while you were on your trip. While we are happy to hear that everything was taken care of for your trip to the hospital and that your expenses were minimal, there are many times where insured’s experience a covered event that is above and beyond what they can reasonably afford while traveling. Thank you again and we hope you think of Travelex the next time you travel.
