Trawick International is a full service travel insurance provider specializing in travel related coverage for tourists, scholars, businesses, and all other global travelers.
An incident occurred at the hotel one day prior to our embarkation. Security people knocked on our door stating that they received a call stating I had requested an ambulance--which I had not. Someone had obtained my info and telephone. I think travel agents should know about this. An investigation is in process about this scam.

I did not travel to the UK May 21 2022. This trip was canceled due to airline problems. I made no claims on this insurance. The airlines returned all cost. I was told I could transfer this insurance to another trip. I just received an e-mail from insuremytrip about a trip to the UK. No such trip is planned. I called and was told the insurance was just extended out a year? I was also told I had until November 16 to use the insurance or loose it. I filled a transfer request for a trip in October 18 thru 24 2023. I received an e-mail back stating I would hear within two working days. I still not heard back.

Had to buy additional airline tickets due to airline delaying and canceling and then missed connection. Cost to me was an additional $3500.00 for the tickets and the plan only paid $300.00 at first but when I reached out they looked into it and reimbursed the remainder.

Had a trip to Copenhagen Denmark about May, 2022, that was interrupted by an illness. Our losses were perfectly covered by the policy; no applicable exclusions. Filed a claim in July, 2022, following the written claim procedure to the letter, with documentation (which, by the way, requires submitting the claim through Nationwide...leading to the conclusion that Trawick is either a subsidiary or its claims are serviced by Nationwide). No response other than an automated response that they are "receiving a high volume of claims." Followed up again months later. Again, no response. Followed up more than a year after the original claim. Again, no response. My conclusion is that this insurance is essentially a scam. It has now been well over a year and it is obvious they have no intention of responding. They are forcing us to take legal action. It is unfortunate that companies like Trawick/Nationwide are more than willing to take your premium but disappear when it's time for them to honor a valid claim.

You never know how good the insurance is until you need it. Luckily, we did not. The most important feature for me was 'cancel for any reason', as we have two older dogs who both have health issues.

It's hard to review a product that you didn't have to use (e.g. filing a claim). You can rate it on costs, coverage, and how straight forward their info was. But to truly earn 5 stars requires the unfortunate need to file a claim. I had to do just that for my recent cruise. I filed a claim 3 days after returning from our trip. I received one timely follow-up email requesting some additional documentation which I promptly provided.
They were able to use the documentation provided to certify my claim and issue a check within about four weeks. This is exactly what I like to see in the claims process.
I highly recommend Trawick based on this experience with them!
