The Bronze plan is the most economical policy offered by John Hancock Insurance Agency, and includes basic limits of coverage such as Trip Cancellation, Trip Interruption, Travel Delay, Baggage and Medical coverage. This plan allows you to insure trip costs up to $10,000 per person, making it ideal for insuring smaller, less expensive trips. If you have made a payment towards your trip, and would like to protect your investment, this plan includes Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption coverage, which offers coverage if you have to cancel your trip prior to departure (for a covered reason) or if you have to interrupt your trip (again, for a covered reason) once you have already left and need to return home.
The Bronze plan covers typical reasons for cancellation and interruption such as, unforeseen illness, injury or death, a delay of 24 or more hours of your common carrier due to inclement weather, and your primary residence or destination accommodations being made uninhabitable by fire, vandalism, burglary, or natural disaster. If you are concerned about a pre-existing condition, you may want to look at the other two plans, Silver and Gold, offered by John Hancock Insurance Agency. Those plans offer a pre-existing exclusion waiver if the plan is purchased within 14 days of your initial trip payment and other certain conditions are met (please see quoted plans as certain conditions apply).
