John Hancock Insurance Agency, Inc. Bronze

The Bronze plan is the most economical policy offered by John Hancock Insurance Agency. It includes basic limits of coverage for standard comprehensive benefits like trip cancellation, trip interruption, travel delay, baggage, and emergency medical coverage.

This plan allows you to insure trip costs up to $10,000 per person, making it ideal for insuring smaller, less expensive trips. If you would like to protect your travel investment from unexpected trip cancellation or trip interruption, this plan offers coverage if you have to cancel your trip prior to departure (for a covered reason) or if you have to return home in the middle of your trip, due to a covered reason.

The John Hancock Bronze plan covers typical reasons for cancellation and interruption such as:

  • Unforeseen illness, injury or death
  • Adverse weather or Natural Disaster resulting in the obstruction of public roadways or curtailment of public transportation, that prevents Your ability to arrive at Your Land/Sea Arrangements.
  • Natural Disaster or documented man-made disaster at the point of departure or Your destination that renders Your primary residence or the accommodations at Your destination uninhabitable.

For a full list of covered perils, please see the full details of the quoted plan.

If you are looking for a plan that is more robust in coverage, specifically the medical and evacuation benefits, you may want to look at the Silver and Gold plans offered by John Hancock Insurance Agency.

Although I didn't have to use it, it surely made me feel at ease and comfy knowing that I have one for my trip. Amazing deal! =)

I experienced a 48 hour baggage delay on my insured trip to Australia. Because the airline (Virgin Australia) provided no notification my bag had been located or was being forwarded, I purchased a little less than $300 in clothing and toiletry items while my luggage was missing (walking shoes, sunblock, etc). I carefully kept the very small amount of lost/delayed baggage notification provided by Virgin Australia, got a letter from the hotel desk clerk documenting the actual arrival time of the suitcase, and kept all purchase receipts. Seven Corners, the plan administrator, was very helpful and friendly when I first called after my return, provided tips on how to most efficiently complete the form, and promptly e-mailed the form to me. While it was time consuming to collect and submit the documentation, I was pleased with Seven Corners and John Hancock response, first with acknowledgment of my claim then, less than 2 weeks later with no additional requests for information, full payment of my claim. I received the check about 1 week later. I'll purchase this coverage again and will again carry 24 hours of emergency clothing with me. You never know... Thanks, John Hancock and Seven Corners.

I always use Insuremytrip when I need to purchase insurance for an overseas trip. My major concern when I travel are potential MEDICAL costs and I wonder whether I should limit myself to just this portion of the insurance...... It is getting very expensive! I am a Senior retired school teacher and still in the GO GO phase of life!
