This plan offers optional coverage upgrades for baggage and certain activities such as mountaineering, aviation, hang gliding, skydiving, parachuting and bungee jumping.

Of course I did not need to use it during my days in Germany, Austria and Italy.
I would have wondered, if I had had to use it, what the process would be in using your coverage. Would you contact the provider and pay him or would I pay him and then you reimburse me upon my return to America. Would there be any discussions between you and me in this process? I have learned from experience that reimbursement is not an easy issue to file.

Thank you for your review. Travel insurance is reimbursement based. You are expected to pay for expenses up front and be reimbursed for a covered claim. An insurance provider may be able to advance payment for you, but that would be determined at the time of an event and on a case by case basis. We always suggest that if something happens you should contact the 24 Hour Assistance center directly, and advise of the situation. From there they can help you determine how payment would be handled and how to pursue the situation. it's impossible to state satisfaction without filing a claim. as far as the options go it's a great deal for the money. as far as reimbursements go, thank heaven i never needed to find out! i needed to coose a star in order to submit. there should be an n/a option.
