The problem with this insurance and apparently all of them is that we do not need medical or evacuation coverage--I wish they would just sell trip interruption, baggage loss, change of plans and so forth separate from the medical coverage. Or at least offer that as an option.

Fortunately we never had to file a claim, but knowing we had the insurance at a reasonable cost was comforting for peace of mind. Especially as we booked and paid for the travel more than 9 months in advance of the trip departure.

The older you get the more expensive it gets. I understand that BUT it made me have second thoughts. I wonder what the rate of plan usage for folks over 70 is to justify the high price. I thing it comes close to a rip off for senior citizens

I thought I was going to cancel my trip due to a serious and sudden family illness. I called and the c s rep answered all my questions and told me what was required in order to get a trip refund.
I did not have to cancel but it was good to know that I had help if needed.
