I was unable to make this trip because I had to have surgery. Fortunately I had not put out very much money. In fact the amount of money I put out was just a few dollars more then what my premium for the insurance was.

The plan I purchased covered everything that I was looking for in travel insurance and it was affordable. I was lucky that I did not have to file a claim. I will purchase this plan again for future travel because it's great to have a piece of mind when traveling.

It would be nice to be able to personalize coverage.
For example: we did not need evacuation insurance because we have a seperate policy we carry 24/7.
We just needed luggage and ship medical.

A % refund for not using would be a great sales pitch. Even if it was 5 to10%. And you could add qualifier...by recieving this refund you agree this policy is closed and no claims can be filed on it.

Good insurance plan and up front service,. When I called to find out how to make a claim I was told I would receive a claim form by email. Nothing arrived. Called again -- nothing arrived. Third time they finally sent the claim form. Filled it out and sent it in. No response. Waited a month, nothing. No confirmation of receipt (I sent it certified so I knew they received it); no acknowledgement they were processing the claim, nothing. Sent an email asking what the status was about 5 weeks after I sent in the claim. A day or two later I received an email saying it was complete and they were sending the check. I did receive full payment (it was a small claim, under $200), but I was not satisfied with the customer service. I felt as if they were ignoring me and hoping I would just go away.

Didn't have to file a claim and how a insurance company delivers on a claim is how you rate. That company in my opinion.
