I did not file a claim so don't know how good it was but the two items I needed coverage for did were not included. Broken cell phone and lost sunglasses. I suppose it is difficult to cover everything and I was glad I had the peace of mind to travel with cover for major events.

Not having any need to file a claim, I can only say that on paper the April plan seemed a good balance of desired coverage and cost, and gave me peace of mind leading up to and during my trip.

Did not need the coverage because all went smoothly on our trip. However a pilots' strike with AirFrance in France occurred, luckily this did not impact us. It did cause some delays and I was glad we had the coverage.

This plan had the best price for the coverage I wanted. I didn't have a claim, but I had a very good experience with customer service getting answers to coverage questions and no problem adjusting the policy when my trip plans changed.

In addition, you raise a valid concern. Some of the major medical plans offered in the U.S. do not provide protection while traveling outside of the United States. It is a very good idea for travelers to supplement their primary medical insurance with travel medical insurance.
