Although I didn't use it, I was glad I had it. I recommended everyone in the band to get it. The bari sax player didn't, and ended up having damage to his instrument. If he had listened and bought the insurance, it would have been no problem!

Fortunately I did not have to use this insurance. It is only in filing a claim that you know if you made a good choice. But I intend to continue to purchase my travel insurance from your company. Thank you for your feedback on the policy. Factors that determine premium include, but are not limited to: the number of travelers, the ages of the travelers, the cost of the trip, and the length of the trip.
In general, the timing of purchasing a Comprehensive travel insurance policy does not impact how much the policy costs. In contrast, the timing of purchasing travel insurance greatly impacts the number of benefits available. You can purchase most policies up until the day before departure. However, the best time to purchase travel insurance is right after you put money down towards your trip to maximize its value. Some policies include time sensitive benefits which are but not limited to pre-existing condition waiver, financial default, Cancel For Any Reason and Cancel For Work Reasons. Most plans require that you purchase a policy within 10 - 30 days of your initial trip payment, and insure all prepaid non refundable trip costs to receive these time sensitive benefits.
