piece of mind was the most important thing. I did not have to use the policy. Would like to get feedback from people that used the service.

Seemed a bit pricey but then again, since we did not need the policy, by definition insurance seems unnecessary (until you need it).

No one will probably ever read this review because the company obviously "curates" the reviews. If they are like may sites that self-publish reviews it is possible that fake reviews have been posted. Just ask yourself the question: Why would anyone write a review for one-time insurance they never used? Makes no sense. Some sites give you the option of showing the reviews with claims and they are rarely five stars.

Also, you may buy the policy from John Hancock which has a great reputation but the claims are actually processed by some company you've never heard in the midwest, like Seven Corners (check them on Yelp). So it is actually impossible to read see reviews for the company that actually processes the claims. Once you have made a claim and obtain the name of the claims processor if you go to Yelp and find an overall 1 Star rating and hundreds of horror stories about the claims process. In my experience claim will take 2 to 3 months if you're lucky and possibly never if they invoke the numerous loopholes in these policies.

Then you have another layer of websites like this one that publish "ratings" for companies they represent and articles from Forbes and other sources they pay for the media"reviews". Notice they are all five stars. Finally, you have google who is only going to display positive reviews and information provided by their paying customers, the insurance agent, insurance companies and the hidden companies that you actually deal with if you have a claim. Also note that although you can post a review for your local insurance agent on google there is no option of posting an unedited review for this site, John Hancock or other insurance companies on google, interesting...

Hopefully, the people that review these reviews will find this one worthy. However, I suspect they will be laughing with their workmates as they hit the delete button!

Great product. All I need when travelling is medical repatriation in case of an emergency. This policy provides just that at a very reasonable price.

I purchased the Evacuation Insurance and luckily didn't have to use it. However, it was good to know it was there in case. Easy to sign up and reasonably priced.

No one knows the quality of insurance until a claim is made but this gave me peace of mind knowing that if I needed to be evacuated this company has the knowledge to handle it.

Thank you for your 5 star review for Medjet's Short Term plan.

However, please note that Medjet is a medical transport membership program, not an insurance plan.
Medjet does not and will not reimburse or indemnify Members for expenses incurred.

Please call us at 800-487-4722 if you have any questions or concerns.

Medjet MedjetAssist Short Term
Thankfully, I didn't need to use the plan - so I can't speak to services in the event of an emergency - but I felt much better having it. [I was encouraged by hearing of an association with an insurer of the caliber of Lloyd's of London (although I admit having little or no knowledge of the nature of the association).] I did some comparison shopping before choosing MedJet. Medjet was the only provider I found that allowed evacuation for a bonafide medical emergency at the discretion of the customer as opposed to the opinion of a local medical authority; this was very important to me. I was also happy to be able to add a rider to cover political events, weather catastrophes, etc., for a very reasonable cost. The availability of a short term plan made the price affordable for me and Medjet allowed me to extend my coverage for the full 8 day term even though my trip ended on the 6th day. Again, this was important to me to cover the possibility that I might be delayed a day or two by seeking immediate treatment or by travel delays prior to any need for the service (although such events may have been covered anyway - I didn't inquire further because there was no charge for this extension within my 8 day term). I was quite satisfied with the plan. If I traveled more outside the U. S., particularly to areas where I would not want to have an extended stay for medical services or where there could be political unrest, or anti-American sentiment under the current administration, etc., I would sign up for an annual membership.
