We did miss the port of Nassau Bahamas due to hurricane damage from Mathew, but the cruise line did reimburse us for port fees and nothing else was covered under the policy that would warrant a claim. Glad we had coverage for the trip as things could have gotten much worse and more expensive.

We had to cancel a cruise after my doctor ordered me to stay home after I was diagnosed with a serious medical condition. I filed a claim for the unreimbursed cost of the cruise, and got a check for more than $37,000 in just 12 days. I also appreciate that I could file all the paperwork (and they want a lot of it) by scanning it all and then emailing them a PDF. I'm dealing with a different insurance company for another cancelled cruise, and everything needs to be sent to them by snail mail, which is obviously slower and more expensive.

Itinerary was changed 3 months after my initial deposit. We went on the cruise, submitted documentation of the itinerary change, and the policy claim was paid as promised.

The plan was expensive for the coverage received and I was disappointed my local agent could not handle writing the policy. I was also disappointed that I received no discount since we have house, car, boat, life and umbrella policies with Nationwide. Where's the benefit and quid pro quo for giving all our business to Nationwide?

The Nationwide Mutual Insurance Luxury Cruise is an upper echelon plan with robust benefit limits, and the premium reflects this. Unfortunately, Nationwide is unable provide a discount on travel insurance for multi policy customers due to insurance regulations.
