Knowing that we were covered by this insurance, we felt comfortably safe when there were two unfortunate instances on our cruise. There was an ambulance waiting in two separate ports when we docked and two guests were driven away. Seeing this only confirmed our decision to purchase trip insurance.

My wife unexpectedly required major surgery necessitating cancellation of our back to back cruise out of San Juan. Cruise line reimbursed 50% of cruise cost but airline was not refundable. I submitted a claim and within 15 business days I received a check covering outstanding monies including travel agent cancellation fee. My previous experience with a different travel insurance provider was much more difficult. TruTravel was first class.

We were very pleased with the coverage AND most importantly how easy it was to purchase. Insure My Trip sent us an email a few days before the trip with important phone numbers and information just in case we needed to use the policy while traveling. Thankfully we didn't need it but we had the peace of mind that it was there in case we needed to reach them.
