Academic Explorer All Inclusive - Domestic

The Academic Explorer All Inclusive - Domestic plan offers coverage for academic related trips within the United States, up to 45 days in length. Whether it is a class trip to a national landmark, or an academic program that takes you across the country, this plan offers coverage to protect your monetary investment as well as other post departure coverages. For residents of most states (and as long as all eligibility requirements are met), this plan offers optional Cancel for Any Reason and Trip Interruption for Any Reason which may be helpful to reimburse the majority of your trip cost in the event you have to cancel or interrupt your trip due to a reason that is not generally covered by the plan.

Everyone hopes that their plans go off without a hitch, but you never know if you will face a travel delay that causes you to have to purchase an overnight stay at a hotel or an unexpected medical emergency that results in a visit to a doctor or hospital. This plan offers reimbursement, up to the amounts listed below, for common issues that may be faced while traveling such as:

  • Emergency Medical
  • Lost Baggage
  • Baggage Delay (if your bags are delayed for more than 12 hours)
  • Travel Delay (if you are delayed for more than 6 hours due to a covered reason)
  • Non-Medical Emergency Evacuation (in case a natural disaster, civil unrest, military action, or political instability requires you to evacuate your destination – available in most states)

Traveling and visiting new places is a great way to further your education, but it is best to be prepared for issues that may disrupt your travels.
