This is ideal for travelers going on class trips, conferences, volunteer programs, or semester-abroad experiences. The plan can cover trips up to 365 days in length.

What does it cover?

The Academic Explorer Discoverer plan offers coverage tailored to educational travel, including:

• Tuition coverage should you need to cancel or interrupt your trip due to a covered reason
• Trip Cancellation for prepaid, non-refundable expenses due to a covered reason
• Trip Interruption if your trip is cut short due to a covered reason
• Trip Delay coverage for meals and lodging if you’re delayed due to a covered reason
• Baggage Loss or Delay protect your belongings while traveling
• Optional Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) upgrade, available in most states, lets you cancel your trip up to 48 hours prior to leaving for reasons not otherwise covered
• Optional Interruption For Any Reason (IFAR) upgrade that lets you end your trip 48+ hours after departure for any reason not otherwise covered
