What is Annual Travel Insurance?
Annual travel insurance is a year-long policy that covers you for multiple trips, so you don’t have to buy separate insurance every time you travel. This plan helps protect you from things like medical emergencies, lost baggage, and other unexpected travel issues all year long.

How Does an Annual Travel Insurance Plan Work?
Buy the plan once, and it covers every trip you take for the next 12 months (as long as you return home between trips). The coverage focuses on medical and emergency benefits, but you can customize the plan by adding trip cancellation, trip interruption, and travel delay benefits.

Insurance Cover?
Annual plans generally include travel protections like emergency medical coverage, evacuation, and lost baggage. With the Intrip Annual Plan, you can also add optional trip cancellation and interruption coverage (up to $10,000) and boost benefits like travel delay or emergency accident and sickness coverage. There’s also a pet-related cancellation benefit if you cancel for serious illness of your cat or dog.
Does Annual Travel Insurance Cover Cancellations?
It can. Trip cancellation isn’t automatically included, but you can add it for an extra cost. When added, it reimburses prepaid, nonrefundable trip costs if you cancel for a covered reason, like sickness, injury, severe weather, or even serious illness of your cat or dog.
Does it Cover Trips Already Booked?
Yes, if you’ve added cancellation, it can cover prepaid vacations you already have on the books. As long as the trip and your reason for canceling meet the plan requirements, you can get reimbursed for your nonrefundable costs.
Does Annual Travel Insurance Cover Cruises?
Yes, you can use an annual plan for cruises. The medical and emergency evacuation benefits work the same at sea as on land. Keep in mind the cost of the cruise itself isn’t covered unless you add the cancellation benefit.

The annual medical policies go into effect on the departure date for your first trip, and the policy expires one year later from that date. You are covered for all trips outside of your home country throughout the year, as long as you do not go over the maximum amount of days the policy allows for each trip.

We have policies that offer Cancel For Any Reason, the maximum refund offered for this benefit it is 75% of the total trip cost. There are typically 3 conditions that must be met to purchase a Cancel For Any Reason Rider: Purchase the policy within 10 – 21 days of First Trip Payment; Insure ALL prepaid and non-refundable travel expenses prior to departure; Trip arrangements must be canceled more than 48 -72 hours prior to the departure date. If you meet all 3 of these conditions, this benefit will typically reimburse you 75% of your trip cost, unless otherwise noted.
