The purchasing process was easy and the plan was reasonably priced. Claims is where the insurer decides if the cost was worthwhile and since I did not have to make a claim, I can only hope the company would have done as it claimed! For an expensive trip, with NONREFUNDABLE charges, it seems wise to have insurance.

We are very pleased with our experience with this company. We became stranded in Newark, New Jersey at the airport because bad weather was responsible for a cancelled flight to Louisville, KY. I called the company from the airport and talked to Elizabeth, who put me in touch with a travel agent, Renee. We were able to find a hotel room near the airport with her help. There were so many cancelled flights that day and so many travelers looking for accommodations that were so grateful for the helpfulness of your staff. While I thought the process for reviewing a claim was cumbersome and time consuming, I was very happily surprised with the outcome (my claim had to do with a trip interruption due to the death of my father.)

I have used Global Alert in the past for other trips over the past few years, two of which I had to cancel. I was, frankly, surprised at how smoothly and efficiently they handled both of my claims when I had to cancel. I intend to use them again.
