My wife and I had a complicated 16 day independent travel itinerary-- Boston to London, to Dubrovnik, to Florence, to Amsterdam, to London and back to Boston. We had never bought travel insurance before, but with recent health issues and an itinerary that involved many changes, in airlines and hotels, having the insurance relieved the stress of possible unexpected expenses and made the anniversary trip completely enjoyable. Though nothing went wrong, the premium was a worthwhile price to pay for peace of mind.

Without a claim I have no basis by which to rate satisfaction or to recommend the plan to others. But leaving the satisfaction question unanswered causes my review to be rejected. So I have to speculate on how satisfied I would be if I had a claim and I'm a pessimist.

This company doesn't return phone calls and doesn't really handle emergencies after hours. Useless for trip insurance.

We always purchase travelers insurance but never had to use it until now. HTH Worldwide employees were professional, kind and did a great job in letting me know what information they needed to process our claim. Joseph was especially helpful and even was able to help with retrieving needed information. Our trip was booked on line for air and apartments in Italy, so it was a little more difficult but after a little work, we did get what was needed. HTH reimbursed us for all of our expenses. I will definitely use them again.

The notes revealed that our Global Health and Safety Team opened a case for you after receiving your call. Unfortunately, the phone call was disconnected while attempting to pass you through to a customer service agent. A Global Health and Safety Coordinator immediately attempted to call you back, but was unable to get through. We regret that this happened and that we were unable to connect with you during the trip."
