I reviewed a few plans before I purchased this one. My son was traveling to the United Kingdom alone and my mother demanded that I purchase travel insurance. At the time, I thought it was strange that none of the reviews included someone's experience of filing a claim. There are plenty of horror stories about insurance companies not being responsive and since I didn't need to make a claim, I wouldn't know if this company falls into that category. That being said, I would happily purchase insurance from this company again.

Thank you for your feedback on the policy. InsureAndGo has been in business for more than 10 years, but was only recently added to our website. It is possible that the Global Gold plan does not have any reviews from customers who have had to file claims. The underwriter of InsureAndGo has an A.M. Best rating of A (Excellent).Jul 10,2015

While I am satisfied with the plan, I did have a problem at the time of purchase. I was not told the upper limits of the plan and when I received the final cost of the trip, the plan I purchased did not cover the total cost of the trip, so I had to purchase another plan. I was refunded the initial cost and things worked out, but it would have been easier if I had been made aware of the total cost limits.

In the future, when receiving a quote online or over the phone, please provide the total trip cost (or an estimate of the total trip cost). Entering the full cost of the trip will reveal two important things: a list of plans that are available to cover the full cost of the trip, and the premium of the policy after all trip payments have been insured.

Well, you never really know how good a policy is until you need to file a claim. So even though I rated the InsureandGo Global Gold plan fairly high, I really do not know how good they would have been since I did not file a claim. Typically you would not know how good or bad a company is until you deal with a claim situation. So close your eyes, pick an insurance company and hope they are OK if you need to file a claim.
