We didn't have to use the plan, but it was constantly reassuring to know it was there. At least one couple on the cruise had their luggage lost for 3 days and no insurance. Good to know if happened to us it would have been covered. Caring for a 94 year old parent, we would have been on edge w/o policy.

Had to cancel our cruise due to a medical reason. NW promptly paid once the forms, including Dr statements were filed. Chose NW because pre-existing condition clause is waived if purchased at or before the time of final payment.

Never had to use, fortunately, so I can't judge that aspect. Having the policy did provide some peace of mind, at a relatively low, though not insignificant, amount.
