While we did not need to file a claim for any reason we felt comfortable traveling during this uncertain time.
While checking in at our hotel we stood next to another guest who explained that she was there because her daughter had suffered a medical emergency due to the bus she was traveling on had a horrific accident leaving her with a broken back. Putting ourselves in the daughters shoes we would have been medically covered and even evacuated with the coverage we had purchased.
This piece of mind while traveling is priceless as no one ever expects the unexpected. HIGHLY RECOMMEND purchasing coverage you can afford!

I don't know what to say here. I think the plan was probably fine. I think it was somewhat gray in areas like what if one of my family had tested positive for Covid and couldn't go, would there have been any coverage for that? What about the Governor of Hawaii asking people to not come to Hawaii, and all the hoops jumped through to get there, what if we would have had a hic up on that, and not been able to come, would that have been covered? Anyway, it is done now, and I don't know how to review something that I didn't use. I guess it was good I had it, but I am sure there are a lot of weasel clauses in the policy.

We had a really difficult ending to our amazing trip to Portugal. We ran into issues at the airport and with COVID testing, none of which were our fault. We consider this to be a travel delay and a travel inconvenience. However, the plan that we purchased apparently does not cover our specific situation. We were not reimbursed any of the $2000 we were charged during our extended stay. The reason we bought the additional travel insurance was exactly for this unpredictable and unforeseeable kind of scenario. We're very disappointed in the timeliness of the response to our claim, the unhelpful people we spoke with on the phone, and the unwillingness to accept our claim.

Regrettably, the claims submitted are not covered under the policy. Fortunately, we did not need to access the plan but we felt the price was fair for the coverage offered. It made us feel safer on our adventure. Hopefully, if we needed to access the benefits, it would have been easy.

We wanted insurance to cover losses if the trip had to be canceled because of Covid or if we somehow contracted Covid while on our trip which would have required us to be quarantined in a foreign country. Thankfully, we had no false positive test results and our trip went as planned with no problems. We had no claims to file, but having the policy gave me assurance that coverage was there if we needed it.
