I liked that we were able to add more insurance to cover days and expenses that we added on to our trip after the initial purchase. Thankfully we had no need to make a claim so I can't say anything about that.

Previously, I took out insurance with Seven Corners, and I felt better that they provided a mobile application because we were traveling with a cruise line, and the idea that I could easily refer to my policy and even file a claim on my cell phone was satisfying. When I purchased WorldTrips Atlas Journey, no such service existed. In today's world, this is a real outpoint. We are becoming increasingly reliant on AI and cell phone apps, so it was disappointing to discover after my purchase that I would not possess that facility.

I bought the WorldTrips Atlas Journey Economy plan in early 2023 because I'm always a little bit concerned when traveling in Middle East. In this case, I was going on a private tour through Native Eye, an E.U. travel company, to Saudi Arabia. The policy I purchased specifically covers for terrorist activity.
Several months after Israel was attacked and things escalated in the Middle East, I received a notice from the U.S. State Department warning not to travel to Saudi Arabia and other Middle Eastern countries because of extreme danger and the likeliness of terrorist activity. I canceled my trip with Native Eye and filed a claim requested that my deposit be returned. My claim was denied. I wrote several e-mails to WorldTrips and found them to be very elusive and noncommunicative. To this day, I have never gotten a reasonable explanation why the claim was denied, other than to receive policy "boilerplate" terms and conditions. I would not recommend using this Company.

I wish I had option to opt out the medical insurance. This would help my family tremendously.

My wife and I came down with Covid-19 while on a guided hiking trip to Glacier National Park. We had to leave the trip and self-quarantine for five days before returning home. World Trips processed our claim promptly and reimbursed us for the lost trip segment plus the additional costs that we incurred in staying in self-quarantine.

Hard to review an insurance policy if you haven't put in a claim.
We took the trip knowing that we were covered and had peace of mind.

Had my flight to Vietnam was cancelled due to weather. I wanted to go for the duration of my initial vacation so I contacted Insure my Trip and talked to a gentleman regarding my options. He informed me that since my trip was cancelled, if I moved it over by 2 days, any additional costs would be covered. Long story short, I submitted my claim and basically nothing was covered! I was out $2500. Think twice before using this insurance provider. I will never use this company again.

Very easy to read options, compare plan inclusions on their site. Fortunately we have never had to file a claim so I don't really know how good this is, that's the proof! Don't think you should need to buy a plan until right before you are into the cancellation penalties, most cruises that is 120 days/4 months before sail. A $2000 insurance policy on $31000 cruise is non refundable after your grace period so you possibly will lose that.

The peace of mind I had during my trip was worth the expense of the insurance.

We bought the Atlas Journey Economy plan never imagining the worst-- a serious accident in small city Sicily resulting in a 5 week hospital stay, transfer by ground and air ambulance, surgery (in a public hospital in Sicily, not recommended!) The company that Atlas uses to facilitate care, OnCall International, did some things well and some things VERY poorly. Their coordination of care depends heavily on the care provider (doctor) being willing to communicate with their medical team, resulting in delays of (what I perceived as) timely and appropriate transfers for medical care, and return home. That being said, they were always available to me by phone, quickly authorized care where covered and appropriate. Their staff on the whole was supportive and helpful.

I recognize our case was quite complicated by the horrible attitude and lack of cooperation by the care providers in Sicily (noted to me by the families of other patients and local people as well, and validated by the doctors in Rome who, despite repeated attempts by OnCall International NEVER provided a detailed care summary to the doctors in Rome who assumed treatment, or to me). I believe that OnCall did try their best, but their "local affiliates" in both Sicily and Rome were less effective than I would have liked in getting things done in a timely manner to get my husband out of Sicily and to Rome.

Otherwise I think the company did an excellent job of getting care for my husband against the backdrop of a really difficult situation.

I am currently in the process of submitting the non-medical (trip interruption) portion of the claim so can't yet comment on the brokers used by the company for that. I will say that the WorldTrips agent was very helpful in pointing me in the right direction regarding contact numbers, forms needed and the like.

I wouldn't hesitate to use this company again-- although given what we have cost them they might not be happy to insure us again!
