Although I didn't need to file a claim, it was nice having the peace of mind while traveling.

Although the claim process was not a prompt and personal one, the outcome was great. We were fully reimbursed with no hassles. Three thumbs up for Atlas Journey Economy!

Very Difficult to contact customer, they would not return my call with an email when I was unable to reach them because of time zone difference

Trip delay due to Covid. Didn't take taxis to pharmacy twice or to the train station, switched hotels, ate for 3 days on $15, took train instead of flying, all to save $'s...but they wouldn't pay for a $10 taxi ride because I didn't have a receipt (it was late at night, I'd been traveling all day and I forgot). Two good lessons: 1) don't worry about saving them $'s; and, 2) get receipts for EVERYTHING!

Claims take forever to be answered and there is a lot of back and forth before you are approved and paid out.

we ended up needing to cancel our trip and we were not able to get refunded due to our reason. It was disappointing to pay for travel insurance coverage and not get covered

Buying is easy. Filling a claim SUPER HARD. For starters the service for claims is subcontracted out located in New York and will not accommodate any West Coast hours. They're happy to sell you a policy on the west coast but not happy to answer any questions or get information during normal business hours. Further obtaining the appropriate forms and documentation is made extraordinarily difficult if not impossible with zero customer service. While the policy on its face appears to cover all risks pray you never have to use it. Front end is good, back end is tragically bad.

I purchased this plan because of the positive ratings for a trip were taking to the UK and France. 6 days into our trip, while in England, I came down with COVID. I self-tested for the virus and was very sick and unable to complete the second leg of the trip and ended up staying in bed for 6 days in a London hotel. I was unable to use a pre-purchased train ticket and lost a one night stay deposit for our hotel in Paris. World Trips would not cover the expenses because I didn't see a doctor or go to a hospital even though I provided proof of the ticket and hotel purchases and non-use. To add insult to injury, I received one apology after another for the length of time they took to process the claim (almost 3 months). My advice is 1. Select another provider and 2. If you do get sick make sure you have proof from a medical provider.
