What I paid and what was covered was awesome; based on that I highly recommend them. However, I never had to use the plan but in the event I should have had to use it I would hope they would have been as quick to help resolve an issue as it was easy for me to get coverage.

I did not have any claims so I have no opinion on that aspect. The only time you find out how good your insurance is, is when you have a claim.
The cost seemed high but in the range that I researched.

C&F Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector
I was on a Crystal Cruise tour in Jerusalem and had an accident while trying to deboard the bus . My right arm hit the door arm as I fell back while trying to exit and had to avoid people walking right where I was about to step. I immediately had a plum size bump on my arm and the internal bleeding caused about 1/3 of my lower arm from the wrist to the elbow to bruise and swell. I applied ice and saw the ship's doctor that day and every day after until disembarkment. Upon return I saw my PCP and had x rays and while medicare covered most of the treatment, I expect that I'll have to see the doctor again as the lump is still the same size a month after the accident. Since this was a Crystal sponsored tour , my medical treatment on the ship was covered. I thought that my insurance policy would cover this claim and was informed that it doesn't. Since I've never filed a claim, I am now wondering if I needed to spend $1600 for this policy.

Nationwide Mutual Insurance Luxury Cruise
Bought the most expensive plan with the most coverage for a cruise I was taking. A port was canceled and a friend who also had a Nationwide policy said her plan had coverage for that and she’d be reimbursed $500. Her plan cost half what mine did and my plan didn’t cover that!!! Couldn’t be more disappointed. I’ll be sure to check the cheaper plans next time. Dont assume the “best” is the best. I called Nationwide and the rep couldn’t explain it and left me completely dissatisfied and thoroughly annoyed.

    We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed in your Nationwide Luxury Cruise policy which did not include "Port of Call Change - Prior to Departure - 500 USD".

    However, it is important to understand that travel insurance is state specific so coverage may vary considerably from state to state to comply with their insurance statutes. Since you reside in the State of New York, that coverage was not available to you. This information would have been evident when quoting and purchasing your policy since we include a summary of available coverage along with a copy of the Certificate of Insurance with every plan.

Tokio Marine HCC Medical Insurance Atlas Expedition
Good to have this back-up insurance plan to help if we had had to evacuate or needed extra health support while we were away in Peru and Panama. Staff when I signed up were very easy to deal with. Turned out we did not need it, but was still very good to have it available in case of an emergency.
