Due to the war on Israel our planned trip was cancelled two months prior to when we were scheduled to go. IMG refused to refund any dollars. I find this unacceptable and therefore will let everyone I know to NOT insure with this company!

Once I actually filed the claim, the process went very smoothly. I received email confirmation when you got my claim forms, and once they were processed. My check arrived very quickly. However, I was never able to get the online claim website to work at all. It took several very frustrating phone calls over the course of a week to finally get someone who was willing to e-mail the necessary claim forms to me. Your customer service people need customer service training!

The small print said the claim didn’t cover countries at war. Well, Israel wasn’t at war when I bought the policy. The war started because of a terrorist act which was covered by my policy. I’m very dissaisfied.

Being on Medicare and going out of country scared us into purchasing the insurance - mostly for the health coverage. It gave us peace of mind knowing that if something "very bad" happened that we would be covered. Fortunately the cruise went on right as scheduled and we were only in Jamaica and Haiti for a few hours each WITHOUT INCIDENT.

Worldwide Trip Protector
We filed a claim due to a foot injury prior to our trip. We were asking for reimbursement for a cancelled international flight, a few train tickets and one prepaid historic site admission. We filed all requested paperwork promptly. We did finally get reimbursed, but it took 12 weeks for flight reimbursement and required us to follow-up with multiple phone calls to keep the process moving. Poor job on their end for keeping us informed and following through on estimated dates.
There was this weird thing where they kept calling my doctor, wanting to know if we took the first available appointment, making us feel like we were being scrutinized for making some kind of fraudulent claim. Why? Doctors don't have this information. We were upset enough about not being able to go on the trip in the first place!
At the end of the day we did get reimbursed properly, but it took what seemed like a long time and a lot of effort for what seemed like a pretty simple claim. I'm hesitant to recommend them, thought they did pay out the claim in the end.

Well I didn’t file a claim and I think that’s the true test of insurance company’s but I’ll say this, it was easy to get, affordable and gave me peace of mind. No complaints!
