    Comprehensive policy premiums are based on the age of the traveler, trip cost and length of trip so premiums are higher as you get older. However, you also selected the TravelSafe Classic plan which includes the pre-existing medical condition waiver, 100,000 US dollars primary Medical and 1,000,000 US dollars Emergency Medical Evacuation.

We did not have to use this, but after hurricane season noted that it was imperative to have coverage in the unlikely event of any type of emergency. We cruised so made sure to have life flight coverage as well.

We bought this insurance to cover only our medical needs while traveling internationally as we're retired and not concerned with trip interruption or cancellation. Fortunately we did not have to file a claim! The customer service was extremely helpful in finding just the right company and plan. We have recommended this service to all of our friends and we will purchase insurance from Insuremytrip in the future!

TravelSafe Classic
The airline cancelled my return flight to Miami when the airport closed due to Hurricane Irma. Got stuck in Prague for 4 days until I could get another flight. Filed a claim with all my receipts, flight cancel notice, etc. Took about 2 months, but they reimbursed me for everything--hotel, meals, transportation to the airport. No hassle at all. Will use them again, and would recommend them to my family.

Well here is the thing - we didn't use the insurance, some it's hard to say how good is. The packages sounds good, and seems to cover what we might need. On our trip we had three occasions where I was relieved I had purchased the insurance. On our way to Europe, our flight was severely delayed and we missed our connection in Paris. Thankfully there was a flight just an hour later, so we were fine. Next, we had an event at the Eiffel Tower where it was evacuated because of a crazy person with a knife. Had something happened to us, the insurance would have come in handy. Then on our return trip, again in Paris, the terminal was evacuated because of a bomb scare. That ended up being chaotic, but we still made our flight and all of our luggage arrived safely too. The upshot is, travel isn't what it used to be. It's a good idea to get coverage if you plan on going anywhere these days. A lot of crackpots out there are looking to disrupt daily life. Don't let them. If thy do manage, have your coverage ready so you're not stuck somewhere.

This was a very good plan for what I needed. Thankfully I did not need to use it but was very sure if I had, I would have been covered. Too many people neglect to take out insurance, thinking it will never happen. I buy insurance hoping I will never have to use it but it gives peace of mind knowing it is there if needed!

What you are not told when you purchase a plan to cover your nonrefundable plane fare is that, if you have to cancel your trip, the airline will charge you a change fee and give you a credit for the rest of the fare you paid, and, since you have a credit, the insurance company will only cover the change fee. Your alternative, according to the insurer, is to tell the airline you don't want the credit, but then if for some reason the insurer doesn't pay, you've lost that money.
