International Medical Group iTravelInsured Travel LX

The iTravelInsured Travel LX plan has excellent coverage, like the iTravelInsured Travel SE plan, but with additional included benefits. The plan is specifically designed for luxury and adventure trips to exotic locations.

The LX plan offers a pre-existing condition waiver if your plan is purchased at or before the final payment for your trip (coverage varies by state, please refer to your policy documents for further details). Unlike the SE plan, this plan has up to $1,000,000 in coverage for emergency medical evacuation and automatically includes the hospital of choice benefit as well. The plan also includes $50,000 for Political or Security Evacuation and Natural Disaster Evacuation.

Additionally, this plan includes missed trip connection for coverage if you miss your trip departure because your arrival at your trip destination is delayed for at least three consecutive hours, due to one of the covered reasons under missed trip connection in the plan details.

Hard to tell due to the fact did not need them or file a claim

I had to cancel my trip due to illness, so I filed a claim. There was some confusion on what was covered, but once that got sorted out, they did pay for my cancelled flight. The problems with this company are: a) They require notification within 20 days for all losses. This is ridiculous; most companies allow much more. If you have a loss while you are on the trip, you might not be able to make that deadline. b) The claim submission website has numerous bugs. First it assigned my claim to the wrong policy. Then, halfway through the process, it got stuck in a loop, asking me to re-submit documents and then rejecting them because they had already been submitted. c) They took 11 weeks to resove my claim, which is slow. One week was due to the confusion on what was covered, but the rest was their bureaucracy. I won't use them again.
