Do Not be decieved in buying insurance that says cancel for any reason. It is not completely factual. You must cancel with in 48 hours for any reason. Otherwise not all reasons are covered. As was our case. So we wasted 164.00 on this insurance.

    For Cancel for Any Reason, it is industry standard to require your trip to be cancelled 48-72 hours prior to your Scheduled Departure Date. The C+F Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector Plus does require that you cancel 48 hours prior to departure. The certificate states the following:

    'If You cancel Your Trip for any reason not otherwise covered by this Policy, benefits will be paid for 75% of the Prepaid, forfeited, non-refundable Payments or Deposits You paid for Your Trip provided:
    a) Your Payment for this Policy and enrollment form are received within 21 days of the date Your initial Payment or Deposit for Your Trip is received;
    b) You insure 100% of the Prepaid Trip costs that are subject to cancellation penalties or restrictions and also insure within 21 days of the Payment or Deposit for those Travel Arrangements the cost of any subsequent Travel Arrangements (or any other Travel Arrangements not made through Your travel agent) added to Your Trip; and
    c) You cancel Your Trip 48 hours or more before Your Scheduled Departure Date.'

Did not need to use the plan, thank goodness. However, it gave us real peace of mind to have it in place and knew if there were issues, we would be covered. I would do it again,.

We had to cancel our trip due to my husband’s unexpected need for surgery. C & F Travel Insured fully covered all nonrefunded funds for my husband and me and for our two travel companions. This was done courteously and quickly. I highly recommend them.

Plan was complete but rules about adding coverage after initial purchase ( necessary for complex trips planned over a long period) are not clear and consequences of not adding is a bit unclear.

C&F Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector Lite
Medical and emergency transportation provider, On Call International employed by insurance provider was very difficult to deal with. Flight arrangements had to go through numerous levels of review and delays. We were told at 1:30am that we had a flight the next morning (airport about 1 hr away), and could not arrange reliable medical transport, subsequently missing our flight. On Call was not able to arrange suitable flight for the next day, so I booked on my own.

Travel Insured International denied payment for my return flight as covered in the policy, however, after i provided information that they should have had (On Call was able to get a refund for the missed flight), they said I will be reimbursed.

    We are very sorry to hear that you did not have a professional experience with On Call who should have been ready to assist you when you encountered a problem. On the plus side, we can confirm that C&F Travel Insured did follow through and issue your payment on October 23rd which you should have received by now.
