AXA Assistance USA Gold

The AXA Assistance USA Gold plan is a comprehensive travel insurance plan. You have all the standard comprehensive benefits you’d expect, such as trip cancellation, baggage protection, and trip delay. The plan also includes the option to add on a Collision Damage Waiver for Rental Car coverage up to $35,000. You will have to check with your rental car company to see if they will accept this type of insurance before adding it on to your plan.

Much like other comprehensive plans, the Gold plan has reimbursement limits for covered travel delays and missed connections for cruise and land tours. You can find the list of covered reasons for each benefit in the full plan certificate. This plan also includes emergency medical reimbursement and emergency medical evacuation if deemed necessary by the attending doctor. If the traveler is eligible, a waiver can be added to the plan to remove the pre-existing condition exclusion. This is a time-sensitive benefit, meaning you must be purchasing the plan within 14 days after making your initial trip payment to be eligible, among other requirements that can be found in the full certificate.

Unlike many comprehensive plans, the Gold plan also provides many benefits with AXA's 24/7 Worldwide Travel Assistance Services.
