The AIG Travel Guard Deluxe Travel Insurance Plan is AIG's top of the line, comprehensive travel coverage that sets the standard.

When you want to be covered, you want the Deluxe Travel Insurance Plan. This plan has Travel Guard's highest level of primary medical expense coverage and, when purchased within 15 days of initial trip payment, includes a pre-existing medical condition exclusion waiver. Plus, coverage for trip cancellation (even due to job loss), trip delay, lost, delayed or damaged baggage, and more. But it’s not simply great coverage, you also receive access to 24/7 assistance services to help with any travel related needs before and during your travels. Deluxe coverage that is easy to buy, easy to use and easy to love.

This plan includes family coverage – one child age 17 and under, who is booked to travel with and is related to the primary adult named on the enrollment form, is included in the rates for each paying adult. (Offer does not apply to optional coverages. The child’s trip cost must be equal to or less than the adult traveler(s) trip cost).

I have never bought travel insurance until I booked this cruise. At two different ports I saw someone taken away from the ship in an ambulance and realized then that could have been me. At that point I knew my purchase was the right decision and will do so from now own.

The insurance gave me peace of mind. However we did not have any reason to make a claim, so it is not possible to evaluate the coverage or claims response. Will likely buy it again for another trip. After our initial purchase we extended our trip dates and bought additional coverage. There was a long wait time on the phone to get this accomplished. Our agent was very helpful. Hopefully more agents will be available for editing policies and addressing those types of issues.

Expensive, however, 3 passengers on cruise contracted Covid and had to have their own airplane out of Antarctica. So…peace of mind has costs.
