The HTH Worldwide Travel Insurance TripProtector Preferred plan builds upon the Trip Protector Classic plan. The plan also offers the option to add on cancellation for any reason, if you are purchasing the insurance within the time sensitive period and certain conditions are met. This allows you to cancel the trip for any reason up until two days before departure and receive a refund of 75% of your trip cost.
The TripProtector Preferred plan also includes trip interruption coverage, which reimburses up to 200% of the insured trip cost. The additional amount can help to offset the cost of an emergency one-way ticket back home. TripProtector Preferred offers medical coverage of $500,000, and does not require you to have primary health insurance in force to be eligible for coverage.
You are provided with a 24-hour emergency hotline that you can call for informational services, emergency assistance and concierge services. Security profiles can be obtained for your destination so that you can be well prepared wherever you may be traveling. It will allow you to stay on top of any travel alerts or health warnings that may arise before or while you are traveling.
Also, access to HTH's global community of physicians, dentists, hospitals and other healthcare providers is available. Search online to find and choose the provider that best fits your needs. You can obtain provider profiles, which give you details about the doctor, their qualifications and specialty services that they provide. This service allows you to make an informed decision if you need to seek medical attention during your trip.
The plan also includes the Direct Billing program. If you choose a provider within the HTH network and inform them 24 hours or more prior to the appointment, (or use HTH representatives to make the appointment for you) they may pay for your medical care up front. This can help you avoid a claims process.
Protect your trip with cancellation, interruption, delay and medical benefits.
