Generali Global Assistance Standard
CSA refused to grant the claim stating that I had medical pre-condition. The first symptoms of my sickness appeared just 2 weeks before planning trip and never before and the coverage was bought few months earlier. I received the money only after very complicated way of complains.
Terrible handling.

    Although it is unfortunate that you had difficulties in settling this claim, we are pleased to hear that the CSA Travel Protection has reimbursed you for your medical expenses.

    For the benefit of your fellow travelers, CSA defines a PRE-EXISTING CONDITION as a "Sickness or Injury during the 180-day period immediately prior to your effective date for which you or your Traveling Companion:
    (1) received, or received a recommendation for, a diagnostic test, examination, or medical treatment; or
    (2) took or received a prescription for drugs or medicine. Item 2 of this definition does not apply to a condition which is treated or controlled solely through the taking of prescription drugs or medicine and remains treated or controlled without any adjustment or change in the required prescription throughout the 180-day period before coverage is effective under this Policy."
    Please also note that the CSA Custom plan does not offer a waiver of that preexisting conditions exclusion.

Nationwide Mutual Insurance Essential
Due to a predicted major snow storm along the east coast, our airline cancelled our flight the day before we were set to fly home from our vacation. We had to reschedule our flight to return home the day after our originally planned return date, and we incurred the extra expense of paying for another night at our hotel. Once we completed a claims form and submitted all of our documentation of the extra expense to Nationwide Mutual Insurance, we received a check in the mail very promptly from Nationwide Mutual, and the check was paid in the amount expected according to our plan. I would definitely recommend Nationwide Mutual to my friends, and we would definitely use InsureMyrip.com again for future trips.

C&F Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector
We had to adjust our trip length (move it 2 days) due to a flight cancellation and C&F adjusted the length (dates) of coverage to include the additional 2 days with no additional cost. There was no claim since no costs incurred but they explained very well how it would work if a claim was necessary.

MEDEX TravMed Abroad
No problems on trip but was relieved that if I needed the medical coverage it was there. One of the families on the cruise did experience a death of one of their group. I hope that they had coverage to lessen the burden they went through.
