AIG Travel Travel Guard Basic
Since I did not have a claim, my satisfaction cannot be judged by this coverage. It is when I have a claim and I would be covered that satisfaction would be experienced. Now I see I must answer the "satisfaction" portion of the survey in order to submit the survey. I am not dissatisfied. This questions is misleading.

The service at April Travel is excellent. The agents are eager to help you when things go awry on your trip. It was easy to file my claim and it was settled promptly.

C&F Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector
You know, having medical and evacuation Travel Insurance just made me feel better while skiing in Italy! The peace of mind is well worth the cost!

A very big hassle if your bags are lost and you want reimbursement. They want copy of receipts for everything.

    Thank you for your feedback on the policy. We are sorry to learn that your luggage was lost.

    The Allianz Global Assistance Basic policy does include Baggage Loss benefits. Receipts and documentation are required to support a claim. This policy has a maximum of 500 USD per person for Baggage Loss and is covered as follows:

    "Actual price, actual cash value, repair or replacement (whichever is less):
    • actual price is the amount it would cost to buy a similar item.
    • actual cash value is the amount the item is worth based on its current market value. If you don’t have an original receipt, we’ll cover up to 75% of its current market value.
    • repair or replacement is the cost to repair or replace the item."

    As your plan states, they will cover up to 75% of the item's current market
    value if you do not have a receipt. However, you still need to provide a list
    of the items lost or damaged.

Generali Global Assistance Standard
Fortunately, everything went according to plan on our trip, and we have no claims. We believe that buying travel insurance for international vacations is a good idea. Rather than buy the travel agency's insurance, we elected to go to an independent source.

IMT Travel Visa Medical
I didn't have to use the insurance so don't know how it would turn out to be had I needed to use it....but it was great because it instantly sent a letter for the embassy for visa application and meets all the specific requirements for Shengen visa. And the price is pretty good too. :)

Global Alert! Preferred Plus
Claim and paperwork submitted October 4th, 2017. Final ck written by Trip Mate, Global Alert's underwriters dated January 12, 2018. Postmark on envelope for that check - February 7, 2018! Insure my trip provided an agent, Gail, who was fabulous in contacting Trip Mate ( aka GLobal Alert ) several times on my behalf, always keeping me informed. However, for their claims administrator to send payment in the incorrect currency after reviewing every bit of travel documentation, including receipts, is an indication of poor training, lack of attention to detail and of course prolonged reimbursement. Bottom line: The company made more than my premium be delaying payment of a legitimate claim. They also seem to be very understaffed.
