My trip was in late May 2019. I filed the initial claim May 4, 2019 because one of the four couples in our group had to drop out. The form for me to fill out for the claim didn't arrive until 3 weeks later while I was on my trip. I replied to the mail saying that I would fill it out when I got back in town. 2 days after I got home, I got an email stating that the claim was canceled since I hadn't sent the form back. I sent the form back later that week. After not hearing anything for several weeks I called and was told that things were being processed and that they were on a 3 week backlog. I heard back, they asked for more info, I provided it, 3-4 weeks pass, they ask for more info, I provide it, 3-4 weeks pass, they ask for more info, I provide it, 3-4 weeks pass and I finally get a response that they would be mailing me a check. I received the check today, 4 months and 1 week after my initial claim. They fully paid the claim, but the timeliness is lacking. Also, they do not reply to email. The next time I buy travel insurance, which will likely be later this year, I will not buy it with John Hancock.

Five of us took the trip of a lifetime this February 2019. Flying out of Boston mid-winter to another country can be challenging and travel insurance was a must. C&F Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector gave us the piece of mind that if anything was to interfere with our plans, then at least we'd have financial protection.
C&F Travel gave us that piece of mind from everything flight related, weather, to health concerns. So glad we didn't need it, but the cost of that piece of mind was worth it.

Was missing a suitcase on the pier when I returned from my cruise. Looked over my policy when I got home and realized there was a very LOW dollar amount for a claim for luggage!!! Will definitely pay more attention to this in future. FORTUNATELY my suitcase was accidentally picked up by a porter and sent on a tour bus to another town in Florida - and with great relief a very honest tour operator called the cruise line to report an extra bag in their customers' load and I was reunited via a FedEx delivery in a short 3 days with my luggage!!! I may not be this lucky the next time so it's a lesson learned.

I’ve never purchased travel insurance but with the expense of this trip I thought it was better to be safe than sorry. Thankfully I didn’t need to use the insurance but it was a very reasonable price for what it covered
