I have not had to file a claim during my travels, but it gives me peace of mind to know I have protection if I have a medical emergency overseas. Italian taxi drivers may be safe, but traffic in Italy makes a wild ride.

Generali Global Assistance Standard
Three days before we were scheduled to return home from France, our flight was cancelled because Thomas Cook Airlines went bankrupt. (Our tickets originally were through Condor and it was that airline that transferred our flight to Thomas Cook). We eventually did make it home and when I called Generali to ask if the policy I purchased had any provision for trip cancellation due to insolvency, the agent very nicely said "no" and that I should have purchased the premium plus package for that additional coverage. What irritated me was when the agent's parting words were "The next time you book a flight, you should check the airline's financial status to see if there are any problems." I'll be sure to do that.

Unfortunately, the basic plan did not cover my baggage delay for more than 24 hours because it was travel to final destination.

I had no claims. We did experience being pickpocketed on the Milan, Italy subway where my wife lost her cell phone and later I lost a credit card(which I immediately cancelled) and some cash. However there was no way to document these losses for which lost baggage coverage did not apply. Your service seems much less expensive than equivalent coverage offered by tour operators and fellow travelers have been happy with it.
