We had to change our travel plans due to the hurricane. We had not made any claims against the insurance company. They were very helpful and switched our insurance to the new destination without having to buy a new policy.

GoReady Insurance Choice
My husband got sick while we were in the Cayman Islands. We contacted April and we quickly were provided info about where to go for treatment. They contacted the facility and sent a guarantee of payment to the medical facility and told the facility we would be coming. The facility also was very nice and very clean. We were very pleased with the trip insurance.

Even though I did not have to submit a claim, it was peace of mind for me knowing I had medical coverage while traveling out of the country.

This was not where I went. I bought a plan for Panama Canal from nov 30 to dec 10. Never had to file a claim but it gives me good peace of mind.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Since we asked you to enter your Departure Date as the date you planned to leave home and the Return Date as the date you planned to return home, you were actually covered for travel to Panama as well as travel outside that country. If you were traveling to multiple destinations, we would have asked you to enter the country where you would be spending the most time. If spending equal time in multiple countries, we asked you to choose your first international destination, or if taking a cruise, you should have entered the first international port of arrival as your destination.

Please feel free to call Customer Care at (800) 487-4722 if you should have any questions.

We did go there but your original post gave a date of September 2016, which I misunderstood to be date of trip. Can't believe I planned this trip over a year ago! Anyway, I recommend your site to everyone. I urge them to buy the insurance as soon as they book the trip to ensure they are covered for preexisting conditions.

Nationwide Mutual Insurance Choice Cruise
We purchased the Nationwide Choice Cruise policy before our November Caribbean cruise on Norwegian. 4 of the ports on our itinerary were flattened by hurricanes Irma and Maria. I called Nationwide when we got our new itinerary to inform them of the new ports and make sure we were still covered. I was informed that we still had full coverage for the new ports, and when our traveling companions called to report their itinerary change, they were informed of the pre-departure itinerary change benefit that was included in the policy. We filed our paperwork as soon as we got back from the cruise, and 15 days (10 business days) later, we each received a check for $750 for our "inconvenience". Since I didn't even consider it an inconvenience, and since we only paid $720pp for the cruise, I call it a win! Thank you Nationwide! You're the best! My only complaint would be that the representative I spoke to about the itinerary change did not remind me of the itinerary change benefit, but I fully realize that they are under no obligation to do so, and I just need to be better about reading the fine print in any policy I buy. I must say I was impressed with the time it took to get our checks, considering how many claims Nationwide must be dealing with after 4 of the most popular Caribbean ports were destroyed.

Insureytrip.com is the best place to locate, review, and purchase travel insurance I have found. All of the available policies can be compared to determine the coverage and cost you want. While I didn't have to file a claim it was comforting to know I had the coverage if needed. Ironically, a passenger on our cruise ship suffered a medical emergency and had to be taken off the ship to a local hospital and I wondered if they needed to be air lifted to America if they had good travel insurance.

Use Insuremytrip.com for every trip we take. Having the coverage gives us peace of mind that should we need it it is there. Have had to use it on a previous trip, and they were so easy to deal with! We tell everyone we know who is traveling about this site!
