Purchase was difficult and stressful. When my credit card didn't go through, company called me on old phone number for several days, then threatened to cancel coverage. Did not email me until just a day before payment was due. Also, upon comparison with similar passengers, I learned that I overpaid by several thousand dollars. This is a terrible insurance company

I had a claim, but when I went to file it I discovered I'd said our trip ended on March 26 instead of March 27. So my trip interruption wasn't covered. I will pay closer attention next time.

Our trip went as planned, so it's hard to say how the company would have performed if we had to use the policy. But they were above board, clear and accurate in their processing of the application and ithe price was definitely competitive.

We are always happy that we don't have to collect on trip insurance. This trip was closest .
My husband went 2 days before our trip with chest pains . He felt sure acid reflex .
However , went ER . They did all blood work and no indication heart .However, we are both 75 and he didn't have stress test in 30 years so they suggested staying overnight for nuclear stress test . He did .
We knew that we could cancel trip but we wanted to go an a small boat (50 rooms) on adventure cruise of hiking , Kayaking, and whale watching (humpback and killer) ,etc .
I left the hospital few hours and my daughter and I came home and did a lot of " house preparation " for 10 day trip. Then returned hospital and left early evening and packed for both of us. I went back to hospital . Test results good . He was able to drive us home before he went and got gas , haircut, pick up RX , etc. next morning left 6:30 AM for flight and our trip . Had a great 10 day vacation!
Only suggestion is when purchase trip insurance thru April and don't use that get small credit for future purchase trip insurance .

I think the cost is very high and will be looking for a less expensive one for future trips. I think our age had something to do with it. We had the assurance that we had the coverage and didn't have to file a claim.

It was just basic health coverage for a week we spent in Canada. Odds are one won't need to file a claim, and we didn't, but it was enough coverage for a good price just in case.

We attempted to call her at the phone number she entered when purchasing the policy. Apparently, that number was no longer her preferred one & she had never provided us an alternate number.
We have no record of anyone telling her the policy would be cancelled. That statement isn’t logical considering she had a valid policy & was simply increasing her trip costs.
The Trip Cost increase was executed the same day we received the CVV number for her credit card which was 5 months in advance of her departure date. This policy is competitively priced for the coverage provided.
