If you are concerned about any pre-existing medical conditions that might affect your travel, this plan will waive the pre-existing conditions exclusion if purchased within 21 days of the initial trip payment and if the full cost of the trip is insured.

It was comforting to know that we had coverage for pre-existing medical conditions, as well as cancellation coverage, when we had spent so much for this trip. The policy seemed expensive, but it was worth it knowing we would not loose the large amount of money we had invested in the trip, had we had to cancel. Also, as we saw an ambulance meet the cruise ship at one port, we felt at ease that we had coverage that would get us good medical care, or help us get home should that have been needed.

Dealing with your representatives earlier this year was fine and that's my only frame of reference for replying to your survey. Not having to submit any claims is always nice--for you as well as for me. Thus, I'm satisfied. The real test, of course, is how satisfied I would be if I had to file and claim and how you handled my claim--if I had one.

It is hard to rate a plan when you thankfully do not have the experience of filing a claim, however it did give me peace of mind.

Because my husband and I are over 60, it was important that we have trip insurance to cover cancellation or illness while we were on vacation. It certainly provides peace of mind!

I waited to get my insurance until the date I was committed. I paid in full more than 14 days prior to the commitment date at which I could still get a full refund. I felt I didn't need insurance until my payments were at risk if I canceled. This prevented me from getting pre-existing conditions coverage. Otherwise coverage for price was very good

Since I did not have a claim on the plan, I can't really evaluate how good "it would have been". The people I talked to on the phone were knowledgeable, helpful and courteous. I had confidence traveling with the protection provided. Since I am 71, I was asked to get my physician to certify that I was able to travel on the day that I purchased the insurance. I did that but it was inconvenient to get an appointment, have them enter a letter in my files and purchase the insurance on the same day. Is that really necessary? Couldn't you specify some window between the purchase time and physician's certification? That is my only complaint.

Thank you for your review. A letter from a physician is typically not required. However, if a customer mentions a medical condition they may have, it may be recommended to obtain a letter stating you are fit to travel etc. for your own benefit should you need to file a claim.Jul 05,2013

WE HAVE USED INSUREMYTRIP FOR OUR PAST FEW TRIPS AND ARE QUITE PLEASED. WE HAVE FOUND THEM TO BE VERY REASONABLY PRICED AND COVER ALL ASPECTS OF TRAVEL CONCERNS. THE WEB SITE AND USER FRIENDLY AND THE PERSONAL AGENTS MOST HELPFUL. THEY ARE OUR ONLY COMPANY WE USE.
