My luggage was lost for 2 days after I arrived in Helsinki. I did not file a claim at that point but was preparing to when I received notice that the airline was delivering my bag to me. It would have been a hassle to have to take time from my trip plans to replace my items but I'm sure you would have been there for me if I needed it.

I buy insurance as a back-up plan and am very happy that I have never had to use it. Others on my trip did have medical issues and were happy they were covered. It's just the smart thing to do unless you are independently wealthy.

The plan contained the options we wanted while traveling abroad. It was fairly priced and we felt secure knowing we had appropriate insurance. Fortunately we did not have any reason to file a claim.

I was fine on this trip, but I used this company for a previous trip and needed to use their services. I received compensation for an "Interruption for any Reason" claim. All worked out. Just remember to have exact amount that you pay for trip insured and call them right away to get you home. Don't do on your own. Keep all receipts. They will do the flight search and booking for you.

We had a major issue with IMG and InsureMyTrip. As we incurred additional travel expenses and requested increased coverage we received confirmations for the increases from InsureMyTrip but IMG was not billing my credit card due to some error in their systems. It took months to get this straightened out and then only with my constant intervention. I don't think InsureMyTrip was as helpful as it could have been in assisting me to resolve this with IMG.

We certainly agree that it should not take 2 months to resolve transactions that are usually completed within 2 days. The plan seemed to cover all of the items that were of concern. Foreign health insurance, trip cancellation, and trip alteration among them. Fortunately, we did not need to make a claim. I could not figure out how the "pre-existing condition waiver" worked. I acquired the insurance within 30 days of making my initial trip payment and within 24 hours of making my final non -refundable payment. I wanted only the two payments for transportation to be covered. All others were refundable. I assume that we were covered for pre-existing conditions. I need to be sure prior to our next trip.

    The policy that you purchased included a waiver for pre-existing conditions with the following conditions met:

    "a) Your Payment or Deposit for this Policy and enrollment form are received within 24 hours of the final Payment for Your Trip or before the final Payment for Your Trip; and
    b) You are not disabled from travel at the time Your premium is paid."

    In the future, please consider speaking with us prior to purchasing a policy. We would be happy to provide you with an explanation of the pre-existing conditions exclusion and the requirements for the waiver to be included.
