IMG has excellent coverage. We planned a 16 day cruise for 6/12/19. On 6/11, I had a kidney stone that resulted in emergency room care and 4 surgeries that resulted in trip cancellation. I had purchased "cancel for any reason" for an extra cost. On 6/25, I filed claim and scanned all documents required. Notified 7/24 documents unreadable and must be resubmitted. Resubmitted 7/29 via UPS. On 8/19 after 4 calls to Customer Service and Claims Supervisor, notified claim had been reviewed and recommended for settlement.
Customer Service representatives were not helpful and could only say that the claim was "in process." Asked to be referred to Supervisor. Left 4 messages for Supervisor who told me she would investigate and get resolved. Told to submit wire instructions for our Bank. Later told that they did not wire money but needed ACH instructions. Return calls often not made as promised by Supervisor.
On 9/5, claim turned over to UK Manager (Wendy). Wendy was extremely helpful and found where the problem was and worked diligently to have funds transferred. She kept us informed frequently as to the status of the funds transfer. On 9/10, claim paid in full and funds received.
A very tedious and frustrating process until we got to Wendy. Customer Service Representatives and Supervisor communications needs to be improved.
Due to the excellent coverage and reasonable price, we have contracted for our next trip.

I traveled with a hiking group of women who were all in our mid to late seventies. Because of our age and the high level of physical activity we all opted for this insurance plan and were secure knowing that we were fully covered for any eventuality. Luckily, we didn't need to make a claim.

Be careful with increasing trip cost that must be insured with addendums to original trip cost. Our trip cost increased as we booked additional tours, etc. Insurance quote started out being about 10% of trip cost, but ended up being around 12%. I might have chosen another insurer had I known he rate was going to increase that much. I called customer svc when the last addition increased the cost increased about 15% of the added cost and was told that was their rate schedule. Next time I will request a schedule of the rates for various trip costs.

    Thank you for your feedback. It is always a good idea to request quotes at your estimated total trip cost. Travel providers vary their pricing. Some providers just use an average rate. Other providers charge a large chunk of the premium at the lower trip cost, while still others use a rate that increases once you enter a higher range for trip cost.

We didn't need to process a claim so I don't know how easy it is to deal with the company from that side. I was just grateful that if I needed to cancel our trip due to almost any reason, I could. What I purchased with this policy was the ease of mind knowing I could recoup some of the costs if needed. Thank you.

It never occurred to me to buy travel insurance until my mother came to visit me in the U.S. a few years ago. During her stay she was forced to seek medical attention; luckily she'd purchased travel insurance and all of her medical costs were covered.

Peace of mind is priceless, and for considerably less than $100! I hope I never need to make a claim, but if I travel abroad I guarantee you I WILL be purchasing travel insurance, just in case ...

I booked a trip of August 12, 2019, at it was cancelled on June 23,2019. I still have not heard about the cancellation of my trip. I sent in the information on June 23, 2019, June 28, 2019, and July 17, 2019. It was for the cancellation of my trip at 75% of the costs I have maintained. I still have not heard any thing. I hope anyone who is booking a trip with them should think about someone else.
