Nationwide Mutual offers a good policy at a fair price. However, that is only half the story. InsureMyTrip helped me out with a small claim on my last cruise. Because of their great service, I will only book travel insurance through InsureMyTrip.

I did not need to file a claim against this policy, but last year I did have a claim. The claims administrator treated me with fairness, respect, and paid in full. There was an unfortunate delay in payment, but the problem was with my health care provider, not the travel insurance company.

I did not need to make a claim but it gave me peace of mind knowing I had insurance. My travel companion needed medical care for conjunctivitis. Also, There were several emergency medical announcements on the ship. A coast guard helicopter rescued for a woman who needed immediate medical attention. An unexpected medical emergency is a reality and I recommend having insurance to cover costly medical expenses while traveling.
