I was thrilled to find this plan. We had been planning a trip to Europe for 2 years and my mother developed lung cancer and subsequently went in for surgery 2 months before we were traveling. Thank God all went well while I was away, but this plan gave me the peace of mind that I needed to go on the trip knowing that if something were to go wrong I would be covered. I felt that the price was very fair for what they were offering. Thank you! I highly recommend this plan to anyone in need of protection!!

MEDEX SafeTrip - Single-Trip
My husband broke his leg while on a ship's excursion in Norway. We were brought home quickly and easily after all the arrangements were made for us. I could not have done it on my own. My thanks to MEDEX and to the agent who arranged it all, 4 flights, 3 airlines.

The plan is reasonably priced but has lots of exclusions that need to be read over carefully in the contract. All travel insurance has exclusions, so you need to know what you are covered for and what you are not covered for. We were unable to file a claim for a stolen cellphone. It is not covered along with lots of other personal items. I would purchase this plan again, though, since it covers quite a few major issues we were concerned about while traveling abroad.

The plan seemed to cover all my concerns and the price was comparable to other insurance plans; however, there are many exclusions in the policy that a prospective purchaser needs to read carefully. For instance, my cellphone was stolen in Germany, and when I called to make a claim, I was told cellphones are excluded from coverage, as are many other personal items. Read the exceptions and exclusions in any policy that you purchase.

Nationwide Mutual Insurance Universal Cruise
Using the website to select my insurance was easy. I was offered quite a few options so I was able to select a plan that met my needs. The website gave me the ability to compare the plans and costs so I could select the most cost effective plan without paying for extras I didn't need. Nice site and company and I'll use them again for my next big trip.

Nationwide Mutual Insurance Luxury Cruise
I had to submit my claim a few times for the processor to understand that we really were delayed almost 12 hours en-route and that our luggage arrived about 17 hours after we did. It was settled, but the proof required was sent in twice to prove that we indeed were delayed 12 hours and not 6 minutes as the processor claimed.
