I filed a claim on July 25, 2017 and this morning, October 9, 2017 I finally received a determination on my claim, whereby April denied fully one-half of my submitted claim. It took this company 54 business days to review and ultimately reject one-half of the claim (they originally said it would be processed within 30 days of my claim submission). I started inquiring weeks ago regarding the delay but never received satisfactory responses. One specific expense I submitted I believe was clearly covered under the terms of the policy and plan to appeal it, and if an unsatisfactory resolution is received I will escalate to my state insurance commission. Another part of the claim, which were expenses incurred for having frequent miles reinstated, apparently was not allowable under the terms of the policy since I cancelled for any reason, whereby there is a loophole that allows them to deny payment on those expenses. Check the policies of the different companies if cancel for any reason is important to you - I am finding out now that many insurers do pay on FF reinstatement fee claims, as should be standard, since those are hard costs the traveler has to pay to make themselves whole. I honestly would have been better off paying for my airline tickets rather than using miles, as hopefully April might have paid on that...instead they gladly denied my FF mileage reinstatement claim. I would never do business with this company again and I would encourage you not do business with them either if you want a fair and timely claims process to happen should the need arise to make a claim. Very dissatisfied with every aspect of my dealings with this company. Unfortunately you get what you pay for, so bad on me but shame on them.

Very difficult to file a claim. After finally getting the claim to go through and still haven't heard back after over a week. I can't mange what they would be like if you had a emergency over seas.

HTH Worldwide Trip Protector Preferred
SCAM ALERT! Warning! Do Not Use This Company! Their $250 per day "Travel Delay" coverage does not include emergency accommodation, transport to emergency accommodation, meals, etc. To be fair to HTH, this is not mentioned in their "fine print", so it's misleading, like stating one has rental car coverage, but the "fine print" states that it only covers red cars rented on Fridays! Their "Travel Delay" coverage is fake and is designed to mislead people into buying their policies. They shouldn't be allowed to call their coverage "Travel Delay". This company gives the industry a bad name.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!

Nationwide Mutual Insurance Essential
There are different ways to define a specific coverage. My modest ($50) claim was dismissed on a technicality which I feel did not take into consideration the actual purpose of the coverage.
Therefore this insurance company has lost my future business.
And I will verbally discourage anyone I know from doing business with them.

A customer service person could contact me - if something were going to be changed however I am not interested in spending time listening to so-called "reasons".

I signed up to go to Australia but when there I looked for a doctor and your app said that you had none there. Then I checked for a hospital and same answer. Why have an app the find somewhere to get help when you have none. Australia is not an undeveloped country! Be more transparent when you are selling something!!

    We have contracted providers, including hospitals, in Australia.

    You may use your geobluetravelinsurance.com site registration or the GeoBlue mobile app to search for contracted providers by international city.

    If a member visits a non-contracted provider outside the U.S., their benefit/coverage level for the treatment does not change. The incentive to seeing a contracted provider while overseas is the ability to set up a Guarantee of Payment from GeoBlue. A GOP is a letter to the provider that shows them GeoBlue will pay directly. In this way, a member can avoid paying out of pocket for covered services and submitting a claim for reimbursement.

I submitted a claim for dental coverage for a dental problem which arose late on my cruise. Although no dentist was available to me, my claim was denied because dental treatment was not obtained during the voyage. In my opinion, the insurer rigidly adhered to the written policy without consideration of the claim circumstances. No compromise was made. I expect that inflexible and uncompromising approach typifies their claims review process so I cannot recommend this travel insurance company.

C&F Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector
I called to file a missed connection claim. I got this insurance for my son Ryan. His Brisbane to LA Flight was delayed. Consequently, he missed his JFK to JAX flight which was a separate booking.
The CF Travel Insurance agent I talked to told me the Missed Connection coverage is only for cruises. The explanation of benefits just says Missed Connection $500 . Who would think this ONLY applies on CRUISES? They should add in parenthesis Cruises only. This is just pure corporate fine print scheme. I've always used Insuremytrip for all my travel insurance. I'm so sorry I selected C&F.
