Very dissatisfied with this policy. Had to cancel the trip and was told we could roll the policy over. After not hearing from this company..I called to inquire. They said I had to fill out paperwork to submit. I did so and never heard anything back. What a racquet!

AIG Travel Travel Guard® Deluxe
Obviously the insurance companies are overwhelmed, but there was absolutely no way that I could contact AIG to ask a simple question. I filed the claim online but all of the forms asked for a claim number. Finally I decided to file without a claim number only to discover that the number is assigned only after all of the electronic documents are uploaded. This could have been easily handled by the customer care team, but after two weeks I still have no answer.

The claim was finally settled but my assessment remains the same. The company should have updated the website that assured me that my inquiry would be answered promptly. This expectation caused at least a week of unnecessary delay.

Your company is a rip off! My trip was canceled and you refused to give me a refund saying that I had not met requirements for losing my job you. You advised that since I had not lost my job within the 30 days before my trip that I was not entitled to a refund. Such a rip off. If I had lost my job within 39 days of the trip the trip would have been paid for completely! Your other requirement that a person be on the job for 3 years is also bogus. What difference does it make if I was on my job 3 years or 3 days? If I list my job I lost it! I have recommended people in all my travel groups avoid your company at all cost. I told my story so hopefully you are losing business. I will keep telling the people about you scam!

C&F Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector Lite
I was going to Dubai, Emirates canceled my trip but charged me $400 cancellation fee. I was only trying to get that covered. Took them 7 months to complete and deny the claim! Not useful. Would not reccomend!

It took almost 3 months from the date that my small medical claim (under $200) was filed with Global Alert with all requested attachments. I called several times and kept getting told that it is a busy time for claims, and that they "appreciate my patience". They said that they are processing claims in the order that they were received, and that my claim was still in the queue. Even when they said that they would try to expedite the claim, nothing happened.
I finally contacted insuremytrip.com about my claim. I was immediately assigned a Customer Advocate by insuremytrip. She talked with Global Alert/TripMate on my behalf, and I have finally received my check from them. It took 2 weeks from when I contacted insuremytrip until I received the check.
I am glad that I purchased the insurance through insuremytrip, since they advocate for you in case of a problem.
I have recently purchased insurance for another trip through insuremytrip - but not through Global Alert/TripMate.

C&F Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector
As someone who always buys insurance prior to any trip and I take 3-4 trips like this a year. This was probably the worst insurance to purchase and file a claim with. It has been a few months already and they keep sending the same email asking for more documents even though they have been provided. They claim that it takes them 1 week to review and respond but in reality it takes 4-5 weeks to get one response. I have had much much better experience with one of the other companies on this platform that paid the claim within 2 weeks. It has been now 3-4 months and the claim is still pending.

I will never purchase from this particular company again. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

I will NEVER use them again. Unfortunately I have a couple trips booked and already purchased, but going forward I will not abs I belong to a travel FB page if over 5000 folks; I will advise them not to as well. My flight home from Dubai was cancelled. Emirates said, “ go back to your hotel and try tomorrow”. She said Emirates does not pay for new tickets or hotel and food charges because it’s not their fault and my insurance will cover. That’s ridiculous and also I had to work next day so I insisted they book me on the Dubai to NYC (My Boston flight cancelled along with 2 others due to 5G and they grounded their Boeing’s). They did, but said I would have to book my own NYC to Boston flight. Arch just denied my small claim of $159 stating flight cancelled not for covered reason. How ridiculous. What is the point of insurance. Whose fault is it for plane cancelling? Why do I get penalized for that. If I could not leave that day, who would have paid my tacos to hotel food and 2 nights hotel (apparently the flight resumed 2 days later not 1). I need insurance that will cover those kinds of things
