Plan had good coverage and I always compare medical, exclusion clause and emergency evacuation coverages as those are most important to me.
WE did not have to use the coverage this trip, thank goodness. But have had to use coverages provided by insurance companies thru Insure My Trip.
When that happened, Insure My Trip even stepped in to assist with prompt reimursment for a claim processed when there was a delay.
I love this service. Wish it were a bit more reasonable cost wise, but do also realize that insurance coverages are costly.

When I fell off a poorly designed sidewalk in Lahaina, HI, while trying to assess whether or not I was injured enough to require medical attention, the thought crossed my mind "this is what trip insurance is for". IF I had needed medical attention we would have missed the cruise ship back to the mainland, so it would have been a "major glitch" in the program. Luckily, I was able to walk away with a few scrapes, bumps and bruises and recuperate during the 5 days at sea.
I will never again waiver as to whether or not trip insurance is necessary! IT IS.

We are very glad to hear that you did not suffer serious injuries in your fall. It is not uncommon for travelers to view the cost of travel insurance as a waste of money, that is until they need it. If you had submitted a claim, Generali would have worked with you to make the claim process as quick and easy as possible.Apr 16,2019

General Global Assistance offers a variety of plans for travel insurance and I found one that suited my needs. Did not get coverages I didn't need or didn't want but did get excellent coverages I did want. Traveling outside the U.S. it's important to have emergency travel plan back ups and I had peace of mind knowing I was well covered by General Global Assistance. I didn't need to make a claim, for which I am thankful. But it was nice knowing I had General Global Assistance to rely on, if necessary.

I can't say that it was great or not as we didn't need it. But I think this was the type of coverage we needed and it was good to know it was in place in case something happened.
While hiking I did take a spill but just scraped my knees (and my camera didn't get smashed). It could have been a lot worse and I was imagining what could have happened but had confidence that if needed you would have been there to assist. Thanks so much for this type of coverage.

Purchased insurance for a Hawaii cruise. Price was reasonable, more than some, less than others. Decent coverage, all things considered. The returning flight was cancelled (reason unknown), but airline would not offer any assistance for lodging and food to board the same flight next day. Booked a hotel and filed a claim upon returning home. Process was quirky (created claim, by EACH person and submitted receipts). No notice other than a claim filed email. Progress checks only said that..."In Progress". Then suddenly one month later, a second email saying the claim would be paid (less luggage storage fees). Check arrived today, Christmas Eve. Merry Christmas!

I booked our trip 8 months in advance and there were days when l wondered if we would actually be able to do it. Having the insurance really took the pressure off. We did make the whole trip and had a wonderful time.

I cancelled my trip to Hawaii, but was not able to cancel this insurance which made me very mad and sad. A waste of money for me, but a boon for you.
Sorry can not rate this insurance, but Nationwide is not consumer friendly. It stinks.

Thank you for your feedback on the policy.
This policy came with a 10-day review period. The policy certificate states, in paragraph 3 of page 1, "All premium is non-refundable after a ten (10) day review period from the date of purchase in the event You have not incurred any claims during that time. In the event the premium paid for coverage is less than the required premium for coverage, benefits will be paid in direct proportion of the actual amount paid to the required premium due."
